under 1000 sq. feet

June 2, 2010

We live in under 1000 square feet. And I love it.

I’m not bragging. And I’m not judging. I’m just stating.

One modest bathroom. Two bedrooms. One especially modest kitchen. An open living room with great sunset views of the Capitol and this building.

I can keep up with cleaning (mostly). I can keep track of Ainsley (mostly). And I can find a sunny spot in the living room every day. (You know, when it’s sunny out.)

We can walk to the Children’s Museum, the playground, the magnificent downtown library, two Farmers’ Markets (4 days a week), and a hundred other delightful destinations.

We are city-dwellers. In under 1000 sq. feet.

And that suits us just fine right now.

*I don’t have any recent Ainsley photos uploaded, but here are some from before we moved.*

so glad you’re liking your new pad! do you have a children’s museum membership? the history center is also a fun place to take kiddos . . . it’s obviously above ainsley for the most part, but there’s lot of fun stuff there too that she would like. my gang loves it!

also, i’m with you . . . we don’t live downtown but we live in about twice the space with about twice the people! people often ask us if we have enough room for another baby. i find it to be kind of a silly question and always answer with “well, our house is nearly 100 years old, i’m sure more than 8 people have lived in it before at some point!”
    take care!
