January 16, 2009

Here are my favorite movies of all time (at least that I can remember today). They are in no particular order, and they are my favorite, not necessarily the bestmovies I’ve ever seen. Just the ones that I could watch a gajillion times without getting sick of them.

  1. Holiday Inn
  2. You’ve Got Mail
  3. Sleeping Beauty
  4. Sense and Sensibility
  5. What About Bob?
  6. Return to Me
  7. Roman Holiday
  8. Elf
  9. Anne of Green Gables
  10. Sleepless in Seattle
  11. Bringing Up Baby (or anything with Cary Grant and/or Katherine Hepburn)
  12. Two Weeks Notice (or almost anything with Hugh Grant and a girl. He cracks me up. He’s in rare form in this one, right Jessica?)

Here are some of Scott’s favs:

  1. Count of Monte Cristo
  2. Emperor’s New Groove
  3. Newsies
  4. Gladiator
  5. Pirates of Caribbean
  6. The Patriot
  7. Billy Madison
  8. The one with Chris Rock and Anthony Hopkins (anybody? anybody?)
  9. National Treasure

  11. The Usual Suspects
  12. Boondock Saints

What’s on your list?

Well “Vosie”…you list and my list could be interchangeable…sad, huh?
I’d add “Its a Wonderful Life” and “Harvey” as I am a sucker for Jimmy Stewart
and stories of redemption with a few bellylaughs!…”I’m Alright! I’m ALRIGHT!”

Let’s not forget “Christmas Vacation” either in our holiday favorite lists either people!

Scott, your list sounds like pretty entertaining too, if I was in the right mood. I’m not familiar with 8, 11,12. hmmm For a good Guy Movie…I’d add
“The Guardian” and “Men of Honor.”

Ginnie….and YES, I admit I introduced you to Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama which staved off the hum drums of Winter in Northern Minnesota. Guily! However, I was ALSO the one who gave your girls the “Littlest Angel” movie…so ….I DO have SOME depth! …just a wee bit.
