Meet and Greet at 3 Weeks

September 18, 2008

Ainsley met her Uncle Bennett for the first time last weekend. It was love at first sight for both of them.

He was a natural — he held her right away when he got in the door. She seemed pretty comfy in his big hooded sweatshirt arms. My baby brother is almost 16 — yikes!

Ainsley also had her first big day out this week. On Tuesday, we went to visit NWC. She screamed the whole car ride there, but slept (like a baby) during our time at school. While there, she met a lot of people from my department and HR. We also ventured to the Business office to meet Scott’s Uncle Steve. I think it was the most excitement the Accounting staff had in a long time. Heads kept popping up out of cubicles…

After a stop at camp to eat and get Scott, we headed up to Coon Rapids. It was time to meet Great Grandma Anita! Ainsley was very happy to rest in Grandma’s arms.ย

Last night, we also had a visit from Justie and her friend Jen. Justie is Scott’s program coordinator at camp, and she’s been a great friend. Tonight, our buddy Ben is coming to visit, and tomorrow we’ll see Jen. And there are so many more friends to meet.

Oh, and Ainsley’s already 3 weeks old!! She definitely growing and looking older, don’t you think? We love love love her.

That last picture is breathtaking! What pretty eyes!

(I’m almost tempted to ooh and ahh over how big little Bennett is! I haven’t seen him in so many years! He’s oooooooold).

Oh my…”My baby” holding “YOUR baby” is an odd feeling.

How nice for Great Gramma Anita to meet Ainsley!

Your first outing sounded like a LOUD but worthwhile couple of hours.

When do you think you’ll venture out to Alex?….oi!

    wink
