Eat. Sleep. Repeat.

September 17, 2008

Ainsley and I are on our own now. Scott’s been back at work for almost one full week. Time is now measured by the distance between naps and nursing… it’s very strange. When Ainsley wakes up in the morning, we both eat and then we both nap. Then we wake up and both eat again. This cycle of eating and sleeping continues for Ainsley with a few diaper changes in between, but I eventually stop joining her for naps and do other things. Email, blog, wash a load of diapers, shower, watch my baby girl sleep…

And then Scott comes home. On his first day home, Ainsley couldn’t stop looking at him and touching his chin. She was enthralled. After he cuddles her, he gets to work doing laundry, dishes, tidying up, and even figuring out dinner. I know being spoiled like this won’t last forever, but I’m so grateful that he tells me to nap and that he gladly helps with all the chores. I love being able to spend all day with my baby girl without worrying about sorting the bills. He’s such a good husband… and a great dad!

the dorcas ladies (old ladies who do sewing projects — ok, one or two of them might be under 75, so i guess they might not all be old) at central made ainsley a quilt. are you ever coming back or do i have to pick it up for you and deliver it??? as much as we would LOVE for you guys to call central your home, we reluctantly understand if it isn’t going to be. let us know what you think.

Aw, she is the newest member of the Scott Ginn Fan Club! As president, I welcome her with open arms and congratulate her on her excellent taste.

Tell her to watch the mail for her membership card. Oh, and the monthly newsletter.

    Love, love, love from Florida.

Hey Amanda! I didn’t know you had a blog! Otherwise I would have been visiting a long time ago. CONGRATULATIONS on baby Ainsley (love the name)! She’s lovely. She and Morrow are only 5 days different in age. And he was 7#13 at birth, so similar sizes too!

It seems like you guys are adjusting well and taking good care of each other. That’s so important. MANY blessings in the coming days as you treasure this little blessing.

And as always, we are forever in your debt for the mattress. πŸ™‚
